Hey Family!
Things are going well for us this week! We didn't have the best finding week, but we did have success having people come to church and to have a decent amount of lessons from previous weeks here in Lafayette. It was crazy good we had RC come to church, that was a miracle in its self. He is on house arrest till 2015 for too many DUI's so he just left his house and rode his moped to church, it was amazing to see him there even tho he broke the law to do so. I think that the lord knows his heart enough to make that decision right. We also had 4 others at church it was super cool. last Sunday we started teaching a family that was pretty rough around the edges and has tattoos and long hair and huge beard, this week when he came to church he had a nice clean hair cut nice clean shave and had a quite fancy suit with a white shirt and tie! It was super cool. They love coming to church. they always feel the spirit super strong and love every moment. I love them to death. I really related to him he is a good ol' country man and loves hunting and fishing and playing in the mud! We really clicked with him and helped him a lot see the truth from the book of Mormon. It is great to see his life change. We also started teaching a 13 year old girl that is friends with a member and she is amazing, she has such a sweet and sincere desire to be baptized she is is great! So this week was all in all a pretty good week we actually were able to teach some lessons and were able to be led to get in contact with some investigators that we haven't been able to be in contact with for a while. The lord truly did bless us this week with that success. Elder Judkins is still slowly progressing he is becoming a great teacher when he teaches. This week I made him the Sr. companion between us, I felt that it would help him a lot break out of his shell and help me shut up every once and a while. It has helped him a lot. I am sure that he still doesn't like me. but oh well. So last Monday we went to a wolf farm and got to see a whole bunch of wolves, they are huge and I am totally putting in to draw a tag when I get home! Then on Valentines day we had dinner with a family that just moved here from Pocatello and are recently married, it turns out that he was the Elders quorum president in the singles ward that Steph and Lacey went to and they knew them pretty well. also she went to ISU and was roommates with a girl that I graduated with in high school. It is really weird that i am having so many connections with people that I have never met before, but at the same time it is wicked awesome. So this week should be just as good because we actually got some return appointments and stuff. and also we have a zone conference tomorrow it will be my second to last one that i will be able to go to. Its super crazy. I am glad that all is going well for you and the family. Just so you know that Elder Nash gets home March 7 I think so watch out and you should go to his home coming, he is a great person and a really great friend.
