Februrary 13, 2012

Hey Family,
Things are going well here in Lafayette.  Our week was really slow, but we did see some amazing miracles that were very needed for our are to progress. We were only able to teach 2 lessons this week and but we were able to find a whole bunch of cool people to teach. On top of it all we got 2 new investigators and we had 4 that attended sacrament. That was pretty amazing for us. This week is was super duper cold and we got snowed/sleeted on most of the week. We definitely received some serious blessings from it. This week we only had companion study with President Collins. It was amazing to be with him, we learned a lot from him and the example that he is. We still haven't been able to teach with him, because we still don't have any set appointments because of our investigators agency. But only in due time we will be able to teach with him and I am looking forward to it. So nothing too exciting has happened this week, we are still working hard and doing our best to help the  people in Lafayette understand the importance of the Gospel in their life. We had a pretty amazing lesson with a less active family this week. I was with one of the zone leaders, so it was great to be able to teach in unity again with my companion. The spirit was so strong. We taught about the importance of scriptures in their life. They tried to use the excuse that their 2 sons didn't want to and couldn't understand yet, The best part was when their 5 year old Harper rebuked them and asked them if they could read the scriptures every day. That totally made my day and I was really excited for that because they knew that they needed to read the scriptures to receive blessings in their life. That truly was great! I am always amazed at how close kids always are to the spirit in their innocent lives. All has been well here and I hope that all continues to be well there in Idaho. I love you all have a great week!
Love Jared
